Roger Haddad is a fully qualified plastic and reconstructive surgeon with a decade of experience in specialty practice. He graduated with first-class honors from the University of New South Wales in 2006 and was awarded the John Loewenthal scholarship during his Master of Surgery at the University of Sydney.
Born in Sydney, Dr. Haddad trained under the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons, completing his specialty Plastic Surgery training in 2016. He later pursued subspecialty training in Stuttgart, Germany, where he focused on microsurgery, breast reconstruction, and nasal and facial reconstruction while working alongside European leaders in these fields.
While his early consultant practice focused on major reconstructive surgery, his current interests center on skin cancer surgery and selected plastic surgical procedures. He has refined the scope of his practice to ensure the highest level of care and results for his patients.
Dr. Haddad operates at St Vincent’s Private Hospital and maintains primary consulting rooms in Bondi Junction. Beyond his clinical work, he serves as an Adjunct Clinical Associate Professor at the University of Notre Dame School of Medicine. He also serves as the supervisor of training in plastic surgery at St Vincent’s and remains actively involved in specialty research and teaching.

“Coming from an ancestry of carpenters, I always knew I wanted to work with my hands. I loved science and art. Plastic surgery has really been an opportunity to combine these elements into a profession helping others.
I was drawn to plastic surgery in my latter years of medical school after watching the transfer of muscle from a patients abdomen to cover a bone over their ankle. It was a long procedure, about 8 or 9 hours. That was in 2005. I relive this same excitement each time I do a microsurgical transfer operation. Having now performed over 500 of these complex procedures, I do them efficiently and with a success rate above world standards. This is where a large part of my passion lies most in plastic surgery - in microsurgery; stitching tiny blood vessels together under the microscope to restore blood flow to transplanted tissues.
While I perform a broad range of plastic reconstructions, over time I am concentrating more on procedures that I enjoy and can offer my highest level of attention - skin cancer, breast reconstruction, and breast reduction.
My overarching goal is to nurture and expand a service renowned for its exceptional plastic and reconstructive surgical care within the community.”
